xSystem Chain Oiler

The xSystem 3.0+ can be adjusted using the buttons incorporated on the reservoir body, or remotely via Bluetooth using the Scottoiler App for even greater levels of refinement and control.

There are 15 standard flow-rate settings that allow for all types of riding conditions which are easily adjusted using the controls on the reservoir unit.

The 15 standard flow rates range between 1 drop of Scottoil every 30 seconds through to 1 drop of Scottoil every 360 seconds.

There is also an on/off button as well as a boost/prime button.

The triple axis accelerometer ensures the xSystem 3.0+ only lubricates when you are moving. This guarantees lubrication only when you need it and allows for stop-start control.

Using this technology the unit will go into deep sleep mode when you finish your ride, drawing a minimal amount of power from your bike’s battery. When you start your next ride the xSystem 3.0 will wake up from the sleep mode and continue maintaining your chain.

For riders looking for even more control, once paired using Bluetooth, you can prime, make adjustments to the flow rate, sensitivity and operation modes using the Scottoiler App on your mobile phone.

You can adjust the ‘Time between Activations’ from 10s to 20 minutes, adjustable in 1 second increments. This broad and granular range of adjustability gives the xSystem 3.0+ the widest operating range and finest level of adjustment for the flow rate of any Scottoiler product,

Modifying the ‘On Time at Activation’ will change the amount of time that the oil is dispensed at each activation. By default the system delivers one ‘drop’ of oil per activation. This can be increased or decreased to optimise your oil delivery.

Adjusting the ‘Wake Sensitivity’ influences how much movement is required for the system to go into active oiling mode. By default the system is set to maximum sensitivity so reducing this will make the system activate when you reach a higher level of activity (i.e. speed),

Normal ‘Operation Mode’ activation means the system will deliver oil if the motorcycle is moving and stop delivery when there is no movement. The operation mode can be changed to either constant oil delivery regardless of movement (always on) or no oil delivery at all

For security the Scottoiler App is configured so that only one mobile phone can connect to your xSystem at a time.

How does the xSystem 3.0+ motorbike chain oiler from Scottoiler work?

The xSystem 3.0+ chain oiler is an electronically controlled solenoid system, so the oil is precisely metered from the reservoir to the chain. The inbuilt accelerometer senses the bikes movement and will automatically start-stop the lubrication when you start your bike. Additional sensitivity, timing and operating modes can be selected adjusted using the Scottoiler App

How far can I go before I have to refill the reservoir?

The range on this kit is up to 2400 kilometres (depending on flow rate, speed, etc.) between reservoir refills – check the reservoir level through the sight glass on each side.

How much power does the xSystem 3.0+ need?

When the engine is off, the xSystem 3.0+ draws less than 0.1 milli-amp of power. This is significantly less than the current drawn by a digital clock so you don’t need to worry about the power drain on the battery.

What oil does the Scottoiler xSystem 3.0+ take?

All Scottoiler motorbike chain oiler kits use our very own oil which is specially developed for use with a motorcycle chain lubricator system. Our oil works better because it has a low tack additive to ensure dirt doesn’t stick. This gets the oil to work on lubricating and protecting from corrosion.
